Our values
Designed in Australia, worn everywhere.
Holster was founded in 2001 at Noosa Beach, Queensland. What started as a local project is still growing today, and the footwear is now worn worldwide. Not because it was planned that way, but because the quality and the story speak for themselves.
Materials that matter.
Around 65% of the materials in Holster shoes can be recycled after use. For part of the sneaker collection, Holster goes one step further: these are made from recycled ocean plastics. Ten 600ml plastic bottles provide the material for one pair of sneaker uppers. Certified by the Global Recycled Standard.
Handmade, with eyes wide open.
Part of every collection is made by hand. Holster works exclusively with accredited manufacturers and ethical suppliers. The CEO visits them personally twice a year. No child labour is involved at any stage of the production process, and Holster team members regularly oversee factory procedures.
Fabrics with a conscience.
Holster uses natural, renewable and biodegradable materials such as cotton, jute and rubber. The REACH-compliant PVC used in certain styles is also recyclable under Category 3.
No hidden agenda.
Holster is open about its supply chain and answers questions about design and production without hesitation. Transparency is not a marketing term here, it is simply the way things are done.
A brand that gives back.
Holster supports vegan organisations and underprivileged children through donations of shoes or a portion of its profits. Past recipients include Soles4Souls, World Vision Australia, the Australian Red Cross, World Animal Protection and the Australian Koala Foundation.
